In this blog, I write about what I am doing to create several different income streams coming from online endeavors. The monthly income reports detail my results. Why am I…
September – October 2019 Income Report: My First Public Talk π’, π Website Sold, A New Apprentice π¨βπ
Welcome to my fifth bi-monthly income report of 2019!
I am now doing bi-monthly income reports because it saves me time β³ and reduces the amount of identical content in my blog π€
Rather than creating yet another boring IR, I better spend time on writing other posts that are hopefully more interesting than money reports π€π»
So read my income report #49-50 to find out what happened in September-October 2019.
π₯In a nutshell, September-October was a pretty busy and very unusual period. I traveled a lot and did things I usually donβt do π₯
My first public talk about my business
In October, I did my very first public talk about my business. I appeared on the podcast by HumanProofDesigns with Kelvin Mah.
Find the link to the record here.
I was in London at the time of the recording. It all felt surreal: me talking about my business, the British urban landscape behind the windowβ¦ I was a digital nomad living a dreamβ¦ which I did not dream of π
π Website sold with the 97 multiple
In September, I sold yet another one of my websites, the π one π I again made the sale on Flippa, the same way I did with my other website, the π one in December 2018.
Hereβs the Flippa listing.Β
This time, I sold the website for the 97 multiple π€― which means the price is equal to 97 average monthly revenue. Please note I am talking about revenue and not profit; the website was unprofitable and was costing me $45 a month π Good riddance! π
It was my only website with a PBN and its sale closes the PBN chapter of my niche website book. Not sure I will even open it again…
I will write soon about the sale experience, stay tuned!
A new apprentice π¨βπ
In October, I found a new apprentice on Genm π
It has been already one month into the apprenticeship and my apprentice has been a real gem! I am very happy with him.
Finding good apprentices is not easy. I spent a lot of effort and time to go through candidates until I found my ideal one.Β
If you want to know more about it or wondering how you can find your apprentice, read my review of the Genm platform here.
Using my traveling to produce unique content
In September, I went to Washington DC. Sam had a business trip and I tagged along (as usual).
It was not the first time I go to the States in the summertime but it was the first time when I used it for my business. I gathered some unique content for my websites. Now, I am thinking of expensing at least some part of my tripβ¦ π If I could return declare it in my taxes as business expenses, it would be awesome π€ Of course, I will need to talk to my accountant about it.Β
Website updates π
To refresh your memory about what the website nicknames mean, read here.
Mother π Website
This website is my prime focus. I keep working on increasing traffic and pumping money into the content πΈ
In September-October, I published almost 27,000 words that included a mix of my content and free and paid guest posts.
I have a content schedule and I am ahead of it. It means I have published more posts then I decided to publish. So, I am thinking of slowing down with content and focusing on backlink building instead.Β
Baby π Website
This website is pretty much a copy of Mother π Website in terms of the keywords and the growth approach. While it seemed to be working so far π , still, Mother π Website and Baby π Website have been diverging from each other.
On this website, I published only 900 words of paid guest posts, which is not much π
π Website
As of π Website, I have put it on hold, again π I decided to focus on two other websites. Since it seems that a tighter focus has been paying off.
LivingOfCloud (this blog)
In this blog, I was not very active during this period. I did not write the SEO & Affiliate marketing news for October π I was too busy with traveling and trying to support my business while traveling.
Here is what I published:

Personal life π©π»
This was a tough but fun period. I traveled a lot and visited Washington DC, NYC (twice π), London, UK, and Russia.
I also managed to work while traveling thus becoming a true digital nomad! βπ𧳠(though, it has never been my dream)
In September, I went to Washington DC. Sam had a business trip and I tagged along after some hesitation. Hereβs the story.
π5 weeks before the trip Sam: I'm going to Washington DC for work, wanna come with me? Me: Nah, I'm good, I'm saving money for the Russian trip. π4 weeks before the trip Sam: Just remember I'm not here on the second weekend of September. Me: Right, you are going to Washington DC. Wait... The same Washington DC from House of Cards, Scandal, and Designated Survivor?.... And I'm not going?... Hm.... .... That's right, I'm not going. π3 weeks before the trip Me: You are going to Washington DC?!?? How come I'm not going with you????!!!! Sam: Indeed! Wanna come with me? Me: Hell YEAH!!!π₯
And I was sooooooooo happy I decided to go!!! It was a blast. I thoroughly enjoyed the city and even managed to gather some unique content for my websites π
On the way back, I dropped by NYC. I had a 7.5h layover before the final leg to Montreal and I used this time to go to High Lane to take a look at the Vessel.
Then, I traveled for 3 weeks in October π Β
I went to London, UK, and then to Russia to visit my family and friends. On the way back, I missed a flight from NYC to Montreal and again spent some extra time in NYC π
All this time I was also training my new apprentice and we were having meetings twice a week π΅
While I was in London, I recorded a podcast with HumanProofDesigns.
Me at Brick Lane, London.
Then, I flew directly to Russia.
The trip was awesome while also being pretty intense. I had a tight schedule because I wanted to make sure I do all the business, visit all the places and see all the people in Russia.
Me in Moscow:
Me in Kolomna, an ancient Russian city:
Typical urban landscape in Russia:
On my way back, I missed a plane from the last leg NYC – Montreal and had to stay in NYC for a night π This time, I did not go to Manhattan; instead, I explored the neighborhood of La Guardia airport.
It all was fun but now, I am happy to be back home!Β
The next trip will be in December when I will go to Boston with Sam to the Christmas party his company will organize.
Ok, now let’s go back to the business! β
Expensesβ
In September-October, the expenses were moderate because I was busy living life and it made me slow down on working on my business.
I also canceled my last PBN hosting, the one with Easy Blog Networks. It was used by π Website and the new owner did not want to have this burden. Selling the website not only brought me money but also removed $45 monthly expenses from my books π This is what I call being efficient!

The income in September – October was very good despite the beginning of the low season. In August, I switched two out of three websites of mine to a better ads platform, namely eZoic. Since then, it has just kept improving the ads RPM and thus increasing my revenue.
I also sold my π website.

Totals π΅
Here are my totals for September-October 2019.
Total income $4,247.75 minus total expenses $1,837.49 makes a net profit of $2,410.26. This number should be divided by two since it’s for both September and October.
Here is a chart with my revenue vs expenses history for the last 14 months. I used the 14-month timeline instead of the 12-month one to show you how these months performed compared to the last year. The last year, my income was about 2.5 times smaller and I am beyond happy to see my income growing so much π€
I have also updated the look of the chart and hopefully, it is easier to understand now.
November – December 2019 Plans π
For the next period, I have only one item on my agenda; itβs very simple and also very hard to execute:
π try to not f**k up the most lucrative season of the year π I have historically been not good when it comes to Black Friday / Cyber Monday salesβ¦ and this year, I will need to come up with something different!
