March 2018 Income Report: Finished Trading Cryptocurrency 🗠 And All Now Goes Smoothly

Happy Easter 🐰🥚🐰🥚🐰 I hope you guys had nice holidays and ready to read about some business!

In this blog, I write about what I am doing to create various income streams that come from online endeavors. The monthly income reports detail my results. Why am I sharing my income publicly 📢 ❓ I hope to gain trustworthiness with you and to keep some degree of accountability for myself.

The reports also motivate me.

I tend to forget my small achievements… and posts like this one won’t let me do it 🙂 Apart from that, they help me to remember how much I have already invested. It’s a motivation to push even harder 💦💦💦

Read my income report #31 3️⃣1️⃣ to find out what happened in March 2018.

What happened in March

March was a relatively calm month full of hard work and smoothly going things.

Finished trading cryptocurrency 🗠

As you should already know, I bought some Ethereum in 2016. Since that, the cryptocurrency has enjoyed a head-spinning rise. The price had two spikes, in June 2017 and in January 2018. The first spike passed pretty much unnoticed on my side. I did not want to sell my Ethereum because I did not want to pay taxes and to overall bother with a thing I had a little knowledge of. “This is a long-term investment,” I kept reminding myself.

However, the second spike was hard to miss and hard to resist. When the ETH price was just $52 shy of reaching $1,500, I gave in and decided to try to sell at least some of it.

My first trade went through in the middle of January and in March, I sold off all my Ethereum.

I used a trading platform QuadrigaCX and wrote a review about it. The review already needs to be updated! 😁😁😁 Two days before publishing this income report post, I managed to finish the verification I rambled about in it.  The verification process was done through Canada Post and went super smooth and fast (well if we don’t count the fact I had to get out of the house and go to the post office 🏤). I will soon write about my experience in a separate post.

I also converted my Ethereum Classic to Ethereum using CoinSwitch and also plan to write a post about it. Seems like it will be the last post about cryptocurrency since I do not plan to do anything in this area for the foreseeable future.

In the Totals section, you can see how much income I got. The number really distorted the picture of my yearly revenue 🤪🤪🤪

Horse 🐎 Website revival

Horse 🐎 Website revival was supposed to be my focus #2 in March.

However, I did not do much alas 🙁 I feel like it is my goal #2 only on the paper and in reality, I always get distracted by something else.

So far, I have cleaned up a bit the website structure, freshened up some most popular posts, and obtained bookmark and other easy backlinks. Still, even these small things seem to be enough to stop some rankings from sliding. The revenue reflected it by going up, also a bit 😂😂😂 I think it means the website has a good potential to exceed its past numbers.

Apart from that, I started preparing the content plan. For the new content, I need to find new writers and for that, I need to prepare test assignments. Since the topic is new for me, it all takes a lot of time 😫

Misc: Guest posting, the blog, Kickfurther

In March, I was pushing guest posting for Elephant 🐘 Website and got some results. The number of backlinks to the website went up and the ranking followed it. It was nice to finally see my results paying off 🙂

As I mentioned above, in March, I worked on my blog and published a review post about a cryptocurrency trading platform: QuadrigaCX Review: How I Did My First Ethereum Trade 💸 (And Why I Chose This Platform). I already have an update on the verification =) Maybe I will even write a separate post about it and this will be my last #cryptocurrency and not the one about CoinSwitch. We will see.

Two months ago, I announced I am pulling off Kickfurther. This month, a couple more businesses paid off their debt so you will see a related row in my income report.

Personal Life 👩

In March, we did not enjoy a spring-like weather. It was the opposite; winter returned and covered everything with snow ❄❄❄ The snow looked really pretty, though.

At my day job, we had a St-Patric’s party ☘ (as usual, every year) and I got a nice trendy hat.

At the end of March, on Good Friday, I ate the first street ice cream of the year 🍦👅 It was good (like the Friday itself) but cold.

Also due to the weather, I was doing fitness in my hallway rather than outside 🏋️‍♀️🧘‍♀️March 2018 Income Report fitness

Ok, now let’s go back to the business!

Totals

Here are my totals for March 2018.

Total income $1,261.15 minus total expenses $481.23 makes a net profit of $779.92.

Here is the chart with my revenue vs expenses history for the last 13 months. I changed the chart timeline from 12 months to 13 in order to show you how the current month performed compared to the last year.

March 2018 Income Report totals chart

As promised, here’s how much I got from selling Ethereum: $28,065.30. If I add it to my revenue chart, it will make the columns for all other months tiny-teensy and pretty much indistinguishable from the horizontal axis. That’s why I made a separate chart:

Too bad it’s only two months with a number like this and not all of them 😭😭😭 2018 will be a tax-heavy year and I hope my tax-reducing strategy will work.

April 2018 Plans

In April 2018, guest posting ✍ will again be my focus #1.

Rescuing Horse 🐎 Website will be again the focus #2. I hope I will do more on this side than in March 🙏

I also plan to continue writing on the blog. After publishing a post about how I did my first ETH trade with QuadrigaCX, I plan to write about CoinSwitch and maybe an update on Quadriga verification.

Since I am not sure about my posting schedule… you should stay tuned by subscribing to my emails!
