July – August 2019 Income Report: eZoic Win π, Apprentice Lossπ₯, My Websites Updates ππ
Welcome to my fourth bi-monthly income report of 2019!
I am now doing bi-monthly income reports because it saves me time β³ and reduces the amount of identical content in my blog π€
Rather than creating yet another boring IR, I better spend time on writing other posts that are hopefully more interesting than money reports π€π»
So read my income report #47-48 to find out what happened in July-Aug 2019.
π₯In a nutshell, these two months were productive and I made a big leap in terms of increasing my revenueπ₯
First eZoic, thenβ¦?π€
Finally, my main website Mother π Website got approved by eZoic! π Itβs an ad platform that pays 2-3 times better than Adsense, which I used before.
I complained about them taking their time in the previous income report. In July, the situation finally got resolved and I started making money π
In addition to that, I also got Baby π Website approved. It was a great thing to happen since the Baby π is just killing it with the ads revenue.
But I do not plan to stop here. The next target is the MediaVine ad platform!
The apprentice π¨βπ
My apprentice from Genm (read my review of the Genm platform here) was great and really kicked it with Twitter for Mother π Website. He showed a lot of initiative and put a great deal of effort into propelling the Twitter account to success. I even had a worry he would burn out and would not want to work on it anymore.
Well, he did not burn out.Β
He just quit π₯
Due to personal reasons πππ
He did not explain much and it did not seem to me that he left because he did not like what he was doing or did not like me. I suspect he had problems with money and needed to get a paying job.
The apprentice worked for me a little bit less than 1 month. It meant that once he canceled our contract, I was still eligible for a refund for an unsuccessful apprenticeship. The refund allows me to find another apprentice free of charge.
I plan to do it in September.
Website updates π
To refresh your memory about what the website nicknames mean, read here.
Mother π Website
This website is my prime focus.Β
I keep working on increasing traffic and pumping money into the content πΈ
In July-August, I published over 23,000 words that included a mix of my content and free and paid guest posts.
The majority of it was released in July and was Pinterest-oriented. It gave a traffic boost, which slowed down in August.
Baby π Website
This website is pretty much a copy of Mother π Website in terms of the keywords and the growth approach. While it seemed to be working so far π , still, Mother π Website and Baby π Website have been diverging from each other.
The Baby π has become my main breadwinner thanks to its more targeted traffic compared to the Mother one.
As I mentioned above, it got approved on the eZoic ad platform and has started bringing in a nice income π
Apart from that, not much new happened here. I published only about 4,000 wordsβ¦ and then the writer who was working on it decided to take a break from working with me π
π website
As you may already know, I am reviving my old π Website.
In July and August, my focus was on wrapping up the skyscraper outreach I started in May. Surprisingly, the Skyscraper has been working quite well here compared to my other websites. I guess its niche is more receptive towards giving away backlinks compared to other niches.
However, it is the exact opposite when it comes to Pinterest with this niche. I was dipping my toes in the water with Tailwind and kinda got disappointed with the results. The Pinterest promotion did not go very well βΉ
In addition to the above, I also published about 3,700 words of content.
LivingOfCloud (this blog)
In this blog, I was moderately active during this period. I did not write the SEO & Affiliate marketing news for July π but I did write a few other interesting and useful posts! π
Here is what I published:
π 7 ways to fix the Valuable Inventory: Under Construction error: How I got my website approved on Adsense based on my experience getting π website approved by Adsense
π Genm review: My experience with the marketing apprenticeship platform as a business, a review of the platform I used to hire my apprentice for the social media work
π How I did not buy a tech website (and what you can learn from my experience) about my recent experience acquiring (or better say not acquiring online businesses π€£)

Personal life π©π»
In July, I got on vacation! We went to a cottage located in Muskoka, ON, Canada. It was an epic week of swimming, eating, paddling, and just having enormous fun!
We enjoyed the wonderful nature in full.
In August, I got back to work while trying to keep the vacation vibe. We have a beach near our home so we tried to go there as often as we could.
The fact it was so close allowed me to make a deliberate choice of clothes π€£
On the downside, our kitties got fleas π’πΏ I had to cut Masaβs fur so that I could treat her properly against the nasty insects.
Β
Ok, now let’s go back to the business! β

Here are my totals for July-August 2019.
Total income $3,906.22 minus total expenses $2,033.52 makes a net profit of $1,872.70. This profit should be divided by two since it’s for both July and August.
Here is a chart with my revenue vs expenses history for the last 14 months. I used the 14-month timeline instead of the 12-month one to show you how these months performed compared to the last year. The last year, my income was about 2.5 times smaller and I am beyond happy to see my income growing so much π€
September – October 2019 Plans π
I have big plans for September – October 2019:
π narrow my focus and double down on the websites that bring me the most money
π get another apprentice
π increase the efficiency of my business by looking more into task automation
π have fun! This part is something I often forget about π but it is essential to keep being motivated and to push forward π
